Regular Season Round 7: Breakers - United 80-72

NBL top team - New Zealand Breakers (8-3) added another victory to their record on Friday. This time they beat fifth ranked United (5-5) in Auckland 80-72. New Zealand guard Corey Webster (188-88, college: Lambuth, agency: Beo Basket) fired 25 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American guard Cedric Jackson (191-86, college: Cleveland St.) chipped in 14 points and 5 assists. American guard Jordan McRae (198-91, college: Tennessee) produced 24 points and 6 rebounds and the other American import guard Stephen Dennis (198-87, college: Kutztown) added 8 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. United's coach Chris Anstey rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. New Zealand Breakers have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain first place with 8-3 record. United at the other side dropped to the fourth position with five games lost. New Zealand Breakers will meet at home Kings (#5) in the next round. United will play against Adelaide 36ers and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
