The game in Findon was also quite interesting. Second ranked Perth Wildcats (7-3) played at the court of 6th ranked Adelaide 36ers (3-5). Perth Wildcats defeated Adelaide 36ers 84-74 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Perth Wildcats. Adelaide 36ers was better in second period 13-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great evening for American guard Jermaine Beal (191-87, college: Vanderbilt) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points and 5 assists. The former international power forward Matthew Knight (204-85, college: Loyola Mary) helped adding 12 points and 9 rebounds. Perth Wildcats' coach Trevor Gleeson used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. At the losing side American point guard Jamar Wilson (185-84, college: Albany) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists and international power forward Anthony Petrie (203-83) scored 13 points and 8 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Perth Wildcats have a solid series of four victories in a row. Defending champion maintains second place with 7-3 record behind leader Breakers, which they share with Taipans. Adelaide 36ers lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with five games lost. Perth Wildcats will face league's second-placed Cairns Taipans at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Adelaide 36ers will play against Kings (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
