Regular Season Round 8: Rosa Radom - Slask Wroclaw 84-65

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Slask (7-1) in Radom on Friday night. Visitors were rolled over by fourth ranked Rosa (6-2) 84-65. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Slask. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Rosa's pressure prevailed and they won that period 23-11 extending their advantage to 19 points. It was a great shooting night for Rosa especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 5 passes made by Slask's players. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international Lukasz Majewski (199-82) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 5 rebounds and Serbian power forward Uros Mirkovic (205-82, agency: BeoExcell) who added 15 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Serbian center Aleksandar Mladenovic (207-84, agency: BeoExcell) responded with 10 points and American forward Lawrence Kinnard (203-86, college: UAB) scored 5 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Rosa have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 6-2 record. Slask at the other side keeps the second place with one game lost. They share the position with AZS Koszalin. Rosa are looking forward to face league's second-placed AZS Koszalin on the road in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Slask will play against Polpharma and is hoping to win this game.
