Regular Season Round 11: Hokkaido L. - Tsukuba R. 81-60

The game between closely ranked teams ended with bottom-ranked Tsukuba R.'s (0-13) road loss to sixth ranked Hokkaido L. (3-10) 60-81 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Hokkaido L.. Tsukuba R. was better in second period 22-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Hokkaido L. forced 21 Tsukuba R. turnovers. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Hokkaido L. made 7 blocks. The best player for the winners was American forward Jerome Tillman (201-87, college: Ohio, agency: KMG Sports Management) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds. Canadian center Chad Posthumus (211-91, college: Morehead St.) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points, 15 rebounds and 4 blocks. Four Hokkaido L. players scored in double figures. American power forward Lamar Sanders (198-84, college: Lamar) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import power forward Justin Reynolds (206-88, college: Texas A&M-CC) added 6 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Hokkaido L. maintains sixth place with 3-10 record. Tsukuba R. at the other side still closes the standings with 13 games lost. Hokkaido L. will face again Tsukuba R. (#7) at home in the next round.
