Undefeated leader Alcobendas recorded the fifth consecutive victory on Saturday night. This time they crushed 7th ranked Segle XXI (2-3) 75-54. Alcobendas dominated on the defensive end, holding Segle XXI to just 4 points in fourth quarter. They outrebounded Segle XXI 40-25 including a 29-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American forward Allison Feaster-Strong (181-76, college: Harvard) who had a double-double by scoring 30 points and 12 rebounds (perfect behind the arc making all five shots). Center Aitana Cuevas (187-86) chipped in 20 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Maria Cazorla (180-97) produced 16 points and point guard Laia Raventos (170-97) added 10 points respectively for the guests. Segle XXI's coach Javier Torralba gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Alcobendas. They maintain first place in Group B with 5-0 record, which they share with Sant Adria. Loser Segle XXI dropped to the sixth position with three games lost. Alcobendas will face UCAM Jairis (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Segle XXI will play against the league's second-placed Sant Adria (#2) and hope to win that game.
