Regular Season Round 8: LTB 29 - Le Havre 78-67

Very expected game when 11th ranked Le Havre (1-6) lost to seventh ranked LTB 29 (4-4) in Pleyber-Christ 67-78. The game was mostly controlled by LTB 29. Le Havre was better in fourth quarter 21-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. LTB 29 dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Le Havre's 32. LTB 29 forced 19 Le Havre turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. The best player for the winners was Australian forward Carly Boag (188, college: Minot St.) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). Guard Marie Butard (174-86) chipped in 21 points and 4 assists. Senegalese center Aida Fall (192-86) produced 15 points and 9 rebounds and guard Melisa Mendes (175-88, college: UTEP) added 14 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. LTB 29 moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Avenir. Le Havre at the other side keeps the eleventh position with six games lost. LTB 29's next round opponent will be league's leader Roche in La Roche and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Le Havre will play at home against Charnay (#4) and hope to win that game.
