Regular Season Round 5: Oviedo - Ensino 51-70

Undefeated leader Maquinaria Ensino delivered the fifth consecutive victory. This time they crushed bottom-ranked Oviedo (0-5) 70-51. It looked good early as Oviedo took an 3-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Maquinaria Ensino had a 19-12 second period charge getting the lead and Oviedo was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 51-70. Maquinaria Ensino dominated on the defensive end, holding Oviedo to just 5 points in third quarter. They outrebounded Oviedo 35-21 including a 31-12 advantage in defensive rebounds. The former international forward Mireia Navarrete (184-80) nailed 12 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side and guard Tamara Montero (168-94) accounted for 11 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Maquinaria Ensino players scored in double figures. Center Carolina Hernando (184-85) came up with 12 points and 7 rebounds and naturalized Argentinian Ines Orselli (-93) added 11 points respectively for Oviedo in the defeat. Oviedo's coach let to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Maquinaria Ensino (5-0) have an impressive series of five victories in a row.
