Regular Season Round 8: Huddinge - Malbas 74-98

An interesting game for Malbas (8-1) which played road game in against 3rd ranked Huddinge (5-2). First ranked Malbas had an easy win 98-74. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Huddinge. The game without a history. Malbas led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 24-of-31 charity shots (77.4 percent) during the game. Malbas forced 22 Huddinge turnovers. Huddinge was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Niklas Sellin (197-91) who helped to win the game recording 25 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Stefan Nguyen (190-92) who added 19 points and 5 assists during the contest. William Ahlberg (-91) responded with 13 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and Eden Ludvig scored 15 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Malbas have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position in South with 8-1 record. Newly promoted Huddinge keeps the third place with two games lost. They share the position with Boras II. Malbas will play against Brahe Basket (#10) in Huskvarna in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Huddinge will play on the road against Eskilstuna (#7) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
