Date: November 22, 2014
The game between closely ranked teams ended with 6th ranked Rotterdam's (4-7) road loss to fifth ranked Groningen (5-4) 75-85 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 48-37 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. American guard DeJuan Wright (190-88, college: FIU, agency: Court Side) notched 19 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals to lead the effort and the other American import point guard Lance Jeter (190-88, college: Nebraska) supported him with 15 points and 6 rebounds. Five Groningen players scored in double figures. The former international center Robert Krabbendam (213-86, college: Virginia Tech, agency: Court Side) added 18 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for lost side. Defending champion maintains fifth position with 5-4 record. Rotterdam lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with seven games lost. Groningen will meet higher ranked Zwolle (#3) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Rotterdam will play against the league's leader Den Bosch and hope to secure a win.
