BJ League top team - Iwate Big Bulls (14-1) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed ninth ranked Yokohama BC (4-11) 100-55. The game without a history. Iwate Big Bulls led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Yokohama BC's 26 and made 22-of-24 free shots (91.7 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Yokohama BC 45-30 including a 35-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a quality performance for American forward Scootie Randall (198-90, college: Temple) who led the winners and scored 28 points and 7 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). His fellow American import swingman Wayne Arnold (193-84, college: Tennessee St.) accounted for 19 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side. Five Iwate Big Bulls players scored in double figures. American guard Warren Niles (196-89, college: ORU, agency: KMG Sports Management) came up with 11 points and 6 rebounds and British power forward Dzaflo Larkai (203-81, college: Bellarmine) added 8 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Yokohama BC in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the thirteenth consecutive win for Iwate Big Bulls. They maintain first place with 14-1 record. Loser Yokohama BC dropped to the eighth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Tokyo Cinq R. and Fukushima. Iwate Big Bulls will again meet at home Yokohama BC (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
