Regular Season Round 8: Sanda - IK Eos 55-86

Not a big story in a game when 9th ranked Sanda Basket (1-6) was outscored by third ranked IK Eos (6-1) in Huskvarna 86-55 on Saturday. The game without a history. IK Eos led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They also forced 28 Sanda Basket turnovers. Sanda Basket was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Guard Gustav Nystrom (190-89, college: Hope) orchestrated the victory by scoring 23 points and 5 steals (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Center David Hult (204-89) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners. Forward Gustav Ling-Brostrom (195-97) replied with 13 points and 7 rebounds and David Erberg added 15 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Sanda Basket. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. IK Eos have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place in South. Sanda Basket lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with six games lost. IK Eos will face Trelleborg (#6) at home in the next round. Sanda Basket will play against Haga Haninge and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
