There was a small surprise when tenth ranked Burgos (4-4) rolled over on the road 8th ranked Oviedo CB (4-5) 79-59 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Burgos. Oviedo CB managed to win third quarter 17-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Oviedo CB to just 6 points in fourth quarter. Forward Miguel Feliu (199-85) nailed 17 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side and center Sergio Olmos (213-86, college: Temple) accounted for 14 points and 9 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Four Burgos players scored in double figures. American forward Beau Levesque (201-91, college: St.Mary's, CA, agency: Duran International) came up with 10 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Ferran Bassas (185-92, agency: Duran International) added 9 points and 4 assists respectively for Oviedo CB in the defeat. Oviedo CB's coach let to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Burgos moved-up to ninth place. Loser Oviedo CB dropped to the tenth position with five games lost. Burgos will meet at home higher ranked Planasa NV (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Oviedo CB will play against Palma (#8) in S'Arenal and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
