No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Lattes Montpellier (5-2) smashed at home 9th ranked Mondeville (4-4) 88-68 on Saturday. The game without a history. Lattes Montpellier led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Mistie Bass (191-83, college: Duke) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 6 rebounds and international guard Gaelle Skrela (177-83, agency: Josep and Nicolas) who added 14 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Four Lattes Montpellier players scored in double figures. Lattes Montpellier's coach Valery Demory used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Courtney Hurt (185-90, college: VCU) responded with 26 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and Serbian forward Maja Vucurovic (187-91, agency: Josep and Nicolas) scored 15 points and 6 rebounds. Defending champion maintains fourth position with 5-2 record. Loser Mondeville dropped to the eighth place with four games lost. They share the position with Flammes Carolo. Lattes Montpellier will meet Flammes Carolo (#9) in the next round where they are favorite. Mondeville will play against Angers and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
