Not a big story in a game in Madrid where bottom-ranked Ciudad Adelantados (0-5) was defeated by tenth ranked ASEFA Estudiantes (2-3) 57-41 on Saturday. The game without a history. ASEFA Estudiantes led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Ciudad Adelantados to just 4 points in second quarter. ASEFA Estudiantes forced 24 Ciudad Adelantados turnovers and outrebounded them 41-29 including a 30-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was forward Maria Conde (184-97) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds. Forward Teresa Lopez Perez (180-96) chipped in 13 points. Naturalized Paraguayan guard Claudia Aponte (173-91, agency: Josep and Nicolas) produced 13 points and power forward Laura Bejarano (182-82) added 7 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. ASEFA Estudiantes moved-up to sixth place in Group B, which they share with 3 other teams. Ciudad Adelantados lost their fifth game in a row. Newly promoted team still closes the standings with five games lost. ASEFA Estudiantes will face IF Air Europa (#7) in S'Arenal in the next round. Ciudad Adelantados will play at home against C.B Almeria (#11) and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
