No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Aanekosken (5-4) crushed 8th ranked TuRi (2-7) in Aanekoski 98-67 on Saturday. The game without a history. Aanekosken led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to TuRi's 28. Aanekosken forced 20 TuRi turnovers. American players dominated the game. Center Kenya Robinson (182-70, college: New Orleans) nailed a double-double by scoring 14 points, 13 rebounds and 9 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winning side and guard Michaela Michaela Houser (170-91, college: Purdue, agency: LBM Management) accounted for 28 points and 5 assists. Five Aanekosken players scored in double figures. Guard Shafontaye Myers (173-92, college: Alabama) came up with 22 points and 6 rebounds and guard Amber Moore (180-90, college: Illinois) added 19 points and 6 rebounds respectively for TuRi in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Aanekosken. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with HyPo. TuRi lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the eighth position with seven games lost. They share it with Pyrinto. Aanekosken will meet at home HyPo (#4) in the next round. TuRi will play against Tapiolan Honka (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
