Regular Season Round 8: Visby - Norrkoping 72-62

There was a minor upset when 7th ranked Norrkoping Dolphins (3-5) were defeated on the road by ninth ranked Visby Ladies (3-5) 72-62 on Saturday. The game without a history. Visby Ladies led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Visby Ladies outrebounded Norrkoping Dolphins 43-31 including a 34-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Croatian guard Tea Buzov (176-90) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Oaks Patricia chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 14 rebounds. International forward Pernilla Hanson (181-90, college: Cal-Irvine) produced 21 points and 6 rebounds and Austrian guard Georgia De Leeuw (177-90) added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. Four Norrkoping Dolphins players scored in double figures. Norrkoping Dolphins' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Visby Ladies moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Norrkoping and Eos. Visby Ladies will meet at home league's leader Northland in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Norrkoping Dolphins will play against IK Eos (#7) in Lund and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
