Regular Season Round 8: Nantes - Union Hainaut 82-65

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both twelfth ranked Nantes Reze and 13th ranked Union Hainaut had identical 2-5 record. This time Nantes Reze used a home court advantage and won against the opponent from Saint-Amand 82-65 on Saturday night. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Nantes Reze's pressure prevailed and they won that period 19-8 extending their advantage to 17 points. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international power forward Aurelie Bonnan (187-83, agency: Josep and Nicolas) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 15 rebounds and German Margret Skuballa (186-87) who added 23 points during the contest. The former international forward Florine Basque (184-92) responded with 19 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and DR Congolese power forward Pauline Akonga Nsimbo (188-82, agency: LBM Management) scored 19 points and 7 rebounds. Nantes Reze (3-5) moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Lyon. Loser Union Hainaut dropped to the twelfth position with six games lost. They share it with Toulouse. Nantes Reze will meet higher ranked Villeneuve D'Ascq (#7) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Union Hainaut will play against the league's leader Bourges (#1) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
