Not a big story in a game when 14th ranked Mulhouse Basket (2-7) was outplayed on the road by second ranked Lourdes-Tarbes (7-1) 88-62 on Saturday. The game without a history. Lourdes-Tarbes led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Mulhouse Basket's 30. Lourdes-Tarbes looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Mulhouse Basket's players. Power forward Pierre Pelos (205-92) fired 18 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. The former international point guard Xane Dalmeida (183-83) chipped in 9 points and 9 assists. Four Lourdes-Tarbes players scored in double figures. point guard Jonathan Godin (185-82) produced 11 points and 4 assists and Lithuanian point guard Darius Gvezdauskas (191-88) added 15 points respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Lourdes-Tarbes have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 7-1 record having 2 victories less than leader St Chamond. Newly promoted Mulhouse Basket keeps the fourteenth place with seven games lost. Lourdes-Tarbes will face Saint Vallier (#8) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Mulhouse Basket will play against ADA Blois (#5) and hope to win that game.
