Regular Season Round 12: Hokkaido L. - Tsukuba R. 84-72

Bottom-ranked Tsukuba R. is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their 14th consecutive match to sixth ranked Hokkaido L. (4-10) 84-72 on Sunday evening. The game was mostly controlled by Hokkaido L.. Tsukuba R. was better in second period 20-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for the former international guard Takehiko Orimo (190-70) who led his team to a victory with 20 points. Guard Asahi Tajima (173-88) contributed with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Five Hokkaido L. players scored in double figures. American power forward Justin Reynolds (206-88, college: Texas A&M-CC) replied with 27 points and 6 rebounds and his fellow American import power forward Lamar Sanders (198-84, college: Lamar) added 13 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Tsukuba R.Tsukuba R.'s coach gave the chance to play for ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Hokkaido L. maintains sixth position with 4-10 record. Loser Tsukuba R. still closes the standings with 14 games lost. Hokkaido L. will face league's leader Aishin Sea Horses in Kariya in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Tsukuba R. will play on the road against Toyota Alvark (#4) in Tokyo and hopes to get finally their first victory.
