Regular Season Round 10: Cieszyn - Alba Chorzow 68-71

Very expected game when bottom-ranked Cieszyn (0-9) was edged at home by fifth ranked Alba Chorzow (6-3) 71-68 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 5 points after three quarters before their 24-16 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Power forward Marcin Weselak (204-79) had a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and guard Lukasz Wojcik (189-84) chipped in 20 points during the contest. At the losing side center Tomasz Czajkowski (204-82) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds and Grzegorz Siwy scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. Four Cieszyn players scored in double figures. Alba Chorzow moved-up to third place in Group C, which they share with Mickiewicz and WKK Wroclaw. Loser Cieszyn still closes the standings with nine games lost. Alba Chorzow will face Pogon RS (#8) in Ruda Slaska in the next round where they are favorite. Cieszyn will play on the road against Gimbasket Wroclaw and hopes to get finally their first victory.
