Regular Season Round 7: Haneda Vickies - Aishin AW 65-90

Bottom-ranked Haneda Vickies (0-7) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their seventh consecutive match to eighth ranked Aishin Wings (2-4) 90-65 on Sunday evening. The game was mostly controlled by Aishin Wings. Haneda Vickies managed to win second period 18-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Haneda Vickies 41-27 including 18 on the offensive glass. Aishin Wings looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Power forward Shiyu Sato (178-87) fired 29 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Forward Yuka Maeda (173-84) chipped in 17 points and 6 assists. Guard LiQuan Luohe (165-91) produced 24 points and 5 rebounds and forward Yuki Morimoto (177-84) added 10 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Aishin Wings maintains eighth place with 2-4 record. Loser Haneda Vickies still closes the standings with seven games lost. They share the position with Hitachi Cougars. Aishin Wings will meet at home higher ranked Mitsubishi K. (#7) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Haneda Vickies will play against Hitachi Cougars and hope to get finally their first victory.
