Very important is a road loss of third ranked Agrigento (5-4) against sixth ranked Trieste (5-4) on Sunday night. Visiting Agrigento was defeated by Trieste in a tough game in Trieste 70-75. Agrigento was ahead by 2 points at the halftime before a 21-9 third quarter run of Trieste. They also forced 23 Agrigento turnovers. Agrigento was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. American forward Murphy Holloway (201-90, college: Mississippi) nailed a double-double by scoring 26 points and 21 rebounds for the winning side and his fellow American import point guard Issiah Grayson (180-91, college: CSU Bakersfield) accounted for 8 points and 4 assists. American guard Pendarvis Williams (198-91, college: Norfolk St.) came up with 14 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and guard Andrea Saccaggi (192-89) added 20 points respectively for Agrigento in the defeat. Four Agrigento players scored in double figures. Trieste moved-up to fifth place, which they share with FCM Ferentino and Agrigento. Trieste will play against league's second-placed Manital Torino on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
