Regular Season Round 15: Inter Bratislava - Nova Ves 104-71

Extraliga top team - Inter Bratislava (13-2) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed ninth ranked Nova Ves (4-11) 104-71. Inter Bratislava dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Nova Ves' 28. Inter Bratislava forced 21 Nova Ves turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. It was a quality performance for Czech center Ondrej Starosta (215-79) who led the winners and scored 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). The former international power forward Martin Rancik (205-78, college: Iowa St.) accounted for 16 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side. Four Inter Bratislava players scored in double figures. Croatian forward Andrija Hrkac (195-93) came up with 23 points and 5 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and American forward Stan Brown (204-90, college: Lamar) added 11 points and 11 rebounds respectively for Nova Ves in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Inter Bratislava have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 13-2 record. Nova Ves at the other side keep the ninth position with 11 games lost. Inter Bratislava will play against league's second-placed Rieker KN in Komarno in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Nova Ves will play at home against Iskra Svit (#4) and hope to get back on the winning track.
