Regular Season Round 12: Chiba Jets - Toshiba BT 63-75

Very important is a home loss of third ranked Chiba Jets (7-7) against fifth ranked Toshiba Thunders (7-5) on Sunday night. Host Chiba Jets were defeated by Toshiba Thunders in Chiba 75-63. The game without a history. Toshiba Thunders led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Chiba Jets were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Nick Fazekas (211-85, college: Nevada) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 18 rebounds and the other American import guard Cedric Bozeman (198-83, college: UCLA) who added 19 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was American forward Justin Burrell (207-88, college: St.John's) with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists and international power forward Ryumo Ono (197-88) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending champion moved-up to third place. Chiba Jets at the other side dropped to the fourth position with seven games lost. They share it with Toyota Alvark. Toshiba Thunders will play against league's second-placed Tochigi Brex on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Chiba Jets will play against the league's leader Hitachi Sunrockers and hope to get back on the winning track.
