Rather predictable result when fourth ranked Osaka Evessa (11-5) smashed at home 8th ranked Fukushima (4-12) 76-49 on Sunday. The game without a history. Osaka Evessa led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Fukushima to just 7 points in third quarter. They outrebounded Fukushima 40-29 including 28 on the defensive glass. Americans were the main players on the court. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Joshua Dollard (203-86, college: USC Aiken) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 8 rebounds and swingman Seth Tarver (196-88, college: Oregon St., agency: Interperformances) who added 15 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Four Osaka Evessa players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Terrance Shannon (203-90, college: VCU) responded with 7 points and 12 rebounds and guard Verdell Jones III (195-89, college: Indiana) scored 10 points. Fukushima's coach Koki Fujita gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Osaka Evessa maintains fourth position with 11-5 record. Newly promoted Fukushima keeps the eighth place with 12 games lost. Osaka Evessa will face league's second-placed Okinawa GK at home in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Fukushima will play against Saitama Broncos (#12) and hope to win that game.
