Regular Season Round 8: Maccabi Ashdod - Hapoel T-A 77-86

Date: November 24, 2014
No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Hapoel Tel-Aviv (4-4) defeated on the road bottom-ranked Maccabi Ashdod (1-7) 86-77 on Monday. The guests trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 9-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 86-77. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international Raviv Limonad (191-84) who helped to win the game recording 20 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and American-Jamaican swingman Durand Scott (196-90, college: Miami, FL) who added 17 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. U.S. Virgin Islands-Puerto Rican forward Ivan Aska (200-90, college: Murray St., agency: Comsport) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds and American guard Terrel Harris (195-87, college: Oklahoma St.) scored 20 points and 6 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Hapoel Tel-Aviv moved-up to sixth place. Maccabi Ashdod lost third consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with seven games lost. They share it with Ironi Nahariya. Hapoel Tel-Aviv will meet at home higher ranked Maccabi Rishon (#3) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Maccabi Ashdod will play against Galil Gilboa (#7) in Rosh Pina and hope to win that game.
