Regular Season Round 6: Maccabi H/H - Maccabi Raanana 70-92
Date: November 25, 2014
The game with biggest result difference took place in Hod Hasharon. Local Hasharon (2-4) was outscored by thirteenth ranked Maccabi Raanana (2-4) 92-70. The game was mostly controlled by Maccabi Raanana. Hasharon was better in second period 20-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great shooting night for Maccabi Raanana especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.9 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Hasharon's players. American swingman Ryan Evans (203-90, college: Wisconsin) notched 30 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and naturalized British guard Dan Bank (188-84) supported him with 14 points and 7 assists. Even 21 points and 6 assists by point guard Adi Cohen (178-93) did not help to save the game for Hasharon. American forward Rhamel Brown (201-92, college: Manhattan, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) added 13 points and 11 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Maccabi Raanana moved-up to ninth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Hasharon. Maccabi Raanana's next round opponent will be higher ranked Ironi Ramat Gan (#6) at home and it may be quite challenging game.
