The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Den Bosch as it allowed them to keep a leadership position. Den Bosch smashed bottom-ranked Amsterdam at home 111-60. The game without a history. Den Bosch led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Amsterdam's 22 and made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. Den Bosch forced 19 Amsterdam turnovers and outrebounded them 38-24 including 29 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Amsterdam's players. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Brandyn Curry (187-91, college: Harvard) who helped to win the game recording 17 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. The former international forward Stefan Wessels (203-84, agency: R.H.Consultancy) contributed with 20 points and 7 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four Den Bosch players scored in double figures. American power forward Reggie Keely (202-91, college: Ohio) replied with 9 points and 7 rebounds and forward Stefan Mulder (189-91) added 12 points in the effort for Amsterdam. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Den Bosch (8-1) have an impressive six-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Leiden. Amsterdam at the other side still closes the standings with nine games lost. Amsterdam will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest in order to get back on the winning path. Den Bosch will try to continue on its current victory against sixth ranked Rotterdam on the road.
