Regular Season Round 6: Ramat Hasharon - Maccabi K/G 72-85

Date: November 25, 2014
No shocking result in a game in Ramat Hasharon where third ranked Maccabi K/G (5-1) defeated 10th ranked Hasharon (2-4) 85-72. The game was mostly controlled by Maccabi K/G. Hasharon was better in third quarter 20-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Maccabi K/G forced 21 Hasharon turnovers. American forward Terrence Watson (200-87, college: Ball St.) notched a double-double by scoring 24 points and 16 rebounds to lead the effort and swingman Elad Hofman (192-85) supported him with 22 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 7 steals. Even a double-double of 20 points and 13 rebounds by American forward Kyle Cain (201-90, college: NC-Greensboro) did not help to save the game for Hasharon. His fellow American import guard Keion Bell (193-91, college: Missouri) added 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Maccabi K/G have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Hapoel G/A. Hasharon at the other side dropped to the ninth place with four games lost. Maccabi K/G's next round opponent will be again Hasharon (#12) in Hod Hasharon which should be an easy win for them. Hasharon will play on the road against Hapoel Kfar Saba and hope to win that game.
