Regular Season Round 11: Shandong FB - Fujian QB 109-96

Very expected game when 18th ranked Fujian (2-9) lost to eighth ranked Shandong Bulls (7-4) in Jinan 96-109 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Shandong Bulls. Fujian was better in second period 26-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Shandong Bulls outrebounded Fujian 46-34 including 33 on the defensive glass. American-Ukrainian point guard Eugene Jeter (180-83, college: Portland) orchestrated the victory by scoring 26 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Serbian center Miroslav Raduljica (213-88) contributed with 19 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. American point guard John Lucas III (180-82, college: Oklahoma St.) answered with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists and international Zhelin Wang (215-94) added 21 points and 13 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) in the effort for Fujian. Five Shandong Bulls and four Fujian players scored in double figures. Fujian's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Shandong Bulls have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Shanxi Zh. and DongGuan L. Fujian lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the seventeenth position with nine games lost. Shandong Bulls will face Foshan (#11) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Fujian will play against Qingdao Eagles (#10) and hope to win that game.
