Very expected game when 20th ranked Jiangsu TX (1-10) was smashed by thirteenth ranked Jiangsu Dragons (5-6) in Nanjing 124-90 on Wednesday. The game without a history. Jiangsu Dragons led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Jiangsu Dragons forced 24 Jiangsu TX turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Jiangsu TX's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Jiangsu Dragons made 8 blocks. American point guard Toney Douglas (188-86, college: Florida St.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 40 points (!!!). His fellow American import forward Chris Singleton (206-89, college: Florida St.) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 13 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 blocks for the winners. Jiangsu Dragons' coach felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American center Will McDonald (211-79, college: S.Florida) answered with a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds and forward Lilong Cai (201-91) added 17 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Jiangsu TX. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Jiangsu Dragons moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with TianJin S. and Foshan LL. Jiangsu TX lost their eighth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with ten games lost. Jiangsu Dragons will face Shanghai Sharks (#16) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Jiangsu TX will play against DongGuan Leopards (#7) and hope to win that game.
