Regular Season Round 9: Keflavik - Haukar 73-60

An interesting game for Keflavik (8-1) which hosted in Keflavik 3rd placed Haukar (6-3). First ranked Keflavik managed to get a 13-point victory 73-60. The game without a history. Keflavik led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Keflavik forced 21 Haukar turnovers. It was a good game for American guard Carmen Tyson-Thomas (175-91, college: Syracuse, agency: Two Points) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 16 rebounds. International guard Ingunn Kristinardottir (170-95) contributed with 12 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. American swingman Lele Hardy (182-88, college: Clemson) answered with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Audur Olafsdottir (173-92) added 10 points and 4 assists in the effort for Haukar. Haukar's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Keflavik have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain first place with 8-1 record, which they share with Snaefell. Haukar at the other side keeps the third position with three games lost. They share it with Valur. Keflavik is looking forward to face bottom-ranked KR (#8) in Reykjavik in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Haukar will have a break next round.
