Regular Season Round 8: Basquete Cearense - S.Jose/Unimed 70-76
Date: November 27, 2014
Very predictable result when fourth ranked Sao Jose/Vinac (5-3) won against 14th ranked SKY/Basquete (1-5) in Aldeota 76-70. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 24-20. But SKY/Basquete won second period 13-11. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international power forward William Drudi (206-81) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and the former international center Caio Silveira (211-87, agency: Interperformances) who added 19 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. The former international point guard David Rossetto (180-93) responded with 13 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists and Andrezao de Sousa (198-90) scored 7 points and 10 rebounds. Sao Jose/Vinac moved-up to third place, which they share with Vivo/Franca. SKY/Basquete lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fifteenth position with five games lost. Sao Jose/Vinac will play against Macae (#13) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. SKY/Basquete will play against Rio Claro and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
