Regular Season Round 6: Gorgan - Sanaye 73-33

Bottom-ranked Sanaye is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their fifth consecutive match to seventh ranked Shahrdari Gorgan (2-4) 73-33. The game without a history. Shahrdari Gorgan led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Sanaye to just 2 points in second quarter and to 11 points in first half. Shahrdari Gorgan held Sanaye to an opponent 23.6 percent shooting from the field compared to 41.5 percent accuracy of the winners. Shahrdari Gorgan forced 35 Sanaye turnovers and outrebounded them 44-30 including a 32-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was the former international Pouya Tajik (201-80) who scored 15 points and 8 rebounds. The former international forward Mohammad Zarei (190-88) chipped in 11 points and 6 rebounds. Shahrdari Gorgan's coach Asadollah Kabir felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was Amir Babrshekan (-86) who recorded 10 points and 6 rebounds and Reza Babrshekan added 7 points respectively. Shahrdari Gorgan moved-up to sixth place. Sanaye at the other side still closes the standings with five games lost. Shahrdari Gorgan will have a break next round. Sanaye will play on the road against PMINA Esfahan (#8) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
