Regular Season Round 17: Jamtland - Solna 88-100

Very expected game when 11th ranked KFUM Jamtland (2-12) was defeated at home by seventh ranked Solna Vikings (5-7) 100-88 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Solna Vikings. KFUM Jamtland managed to win second period 29-26. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Solna Vikings made 22-of-27 free shots (81.5 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was the former international guard Serkan Inan (198-86) who scored 26 points (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!). Spanish power forward Miguel Montanana (206-80) chipped in 24 points and 4 assists. Jesper Eliasson (202-94) produced 12 points and 7 rebounds and American guard Tyler Peters (196-91, college: Wheaton, IL, agency: Warren Sports International) added 13 points and 5 assists respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. KFUM Jamtland's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Solna Vikings maintains seventh place with 5-7 record. KFUM Jamtland lost their fourth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 12 games lost. Solna Vikings will meet at home higher ranked LF Basket (#6) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. KFUM Jamtland will play against Uppsala Basket (#4) and hope to secure a win.
