The game in Vitebsk supposed to be also quite interesting. 4th placed Borisfen (4-3) played at the court of fifth ranked Rubon (4-2). Rubon smashed Borisfen 98-77 on Friday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Borisfen. The hosts trailed by 6 points at the halftime before their 65-38 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Rubon forced 20 Borisfen turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Borisfen's players. It was a very good performance for Yahor Patupchik (191-94) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 6 rebounds. Forward Marsel Ovsepian (202-90) contributed with 18 points and 8 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Forward Evgeni Sugonyako (199-92) answered with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 12 rebounds and Ukrainian center Maksym Kozlovets (205-90) added 11 points and 13 rebounds in the effort for Borisfen. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Rubon moved-up to fourth place. Loser Borisfen dropped to the fifth position with three games lost. Rubon will face Impuls BGUIR (#7) in Minsk in the next round.
