Regular Season Round 7: FSU - Thor AK 80-71

Bottom-ranked Thor AK is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their seventh consecutive match to third ranked FSU (5-1) 80-71 on Friday evening. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 22-10. But Thor AK won second period 19-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Collin Pryor (198, college: Northern St.) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 18 rebounds and 9 assists. Naturalized Polish center Maciej Klimaszewski (203-95) accounted for 13 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side. FSU's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Frisco Sandidge (198-87, college: Delaware St.) came up with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists and guard Elias Kristjansson (186-89) added 15 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Thor AK in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. FSU have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain third place with 5-1 record behind leader Hamar. Loser Thor AK still closes the standings with seven games lost. FSU will meet at home KFI (#7) in the next round. Thor AK will play against the league's second-placed Hottur in Egilsstadir and hopes to get finally their first victory.
