Regular Season Round 9: Aulnoye - Pays d'Aix 68-51

The game between third ranked Pays d'Aix (5-4) and tenth ranked Aulnoye (3-5) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Pays d'Aix was defeated by Aulnoye on the road 68-51. The game without a history. Aulnoye led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Aulnoye forced 22 Pays d'Aix turnovers. Forward Carole Leclair (185-89) stepped up and scored 13 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and guard Aminata Konate (169-90) chipped in 14 points and 4 steals. Aulnoye's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American power forward Shante Evans (184-91, college: Hofstra) with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and forward Viviane Adjutor (185-93) scored 9 points and 10 rebounds. Aulnoye moved-up to ninth place. Pays d'Aix at the other side keeps the third position with four games lost. Aulnoye are looking forward to face higher ranked LTB 29 (#8) in Pleyber-Christ in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Pays d'Aix will play at home against Le Havre (#10) and is hoping to win this game.
