Regular Season Round 11: SMS PZKosz - Notec 78-81 OT

SMS PZKosz (#5) forced the game against Notec (#1) into an overtime, but lost by three points 78-81 on Saturday night. The game took place in Wladyslawowo. But the guests from Inowroclaw were better at the end. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of SMS PZKosz. The guests were tied at the half and again at the end of regular time. But they managed to win overtime period 13-10. Notec forced 27 SMS PZKosz turnovers. The best player for the winners was forward Mikolaj Grod (194-89) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds. Center Dawid Slupinski (206-92) chipped in a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). point guard Mariusz Konopatzki (192-96) produced 14 points and 8 rebounds and forward Maciej Bojanowski (197-96) added 13 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. SMS PZKosz's coach Marcin Klozinski rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Notec (8-1) have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They maintain first place. SMS PZKosz at the other side dropped to the sixth position with four games lost. Notec will face Basket Pila (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. SMS PZKosz will play against Trefl II Sopot and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
