Regular Season Round 10: Al-Qazeres - Conquero 47-68

LFB top team - Conquero (9-1) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed thirteenth ranked Al-Qazeres (2-8) in Caceres 68-47. The game was mostly controlled by Conquero. Al-Qazeres managed to win fourth quarter 18-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Al-Qazeres to just 6 points in third quarter. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Adaora Elonu (185-90, college: Texas A&M, agency: Josep and Nicolas) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 7 rebounds. Power forward Itziar German (184-86) contributed with 11 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Conquero's coach Gabriel Carrasco felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Center Yaiza Garcia (190-88, agency: Regeneracom Sports) replied with 12 points and 5 rebounds and American forward Callan Taylor (182-90, college: Sacred Heart) added 6 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Al-Qazeres. Conquero have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 9-1 record, which they share with Perfumerias and Girona. Al-Qazeres lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the thirteenth place with eight games lost. Conquero is looking forward to face Universitario de Ferrol (#9) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Al-Qazeres will play against Campus Promete (#14) in Logrono and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
