Regular Season Round 10: Nanterre - Le Mans 73-61

Rather predictable result when fourth ranked JSF Nanterre (7-3) won against at home 6th ranked Le Mans (5-5) 73-61. It looked good early as Le Mans took an 1-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then JSF Nanterre had a 17-9 second period charge getting the lead and Le Mans was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 61-73. They outrebounded Le Mans 42-27 including a 32-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. American swingman Mykal Riley (198-85, college: Alabama) scored 21 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and center Mouhammadou Jaiteh (205-94) chipped in 12 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. JSF Nanterre's coach Pascal Donadieu allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side international forward Charles Kahudi (199-86, agency: Beo Basket) responded with 12 points and 5 rebounds and the former international forward Dounia Issa (198-81) scored 6 points and 8 rebounds. JSF Nanterre moved-up to third place, which they share with Gravelines. Le Mans at the other side dropped to the eighth position with five games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. JSF Nanterre will play against JDA Dijon (#6) on the road in the next round. Le Mans will play against Paris-Levallois and hopes to get back on the winning track.
