Regular Season Round 9: Solna Branten - KFUM Uppsala 49-73

The game between closely ranked teams ended with fourth ranked KFUM Uppsala's (7-2) road victory over 5th ranked Solna Branten (5-4) 73-49 on Saturday. The game without a history. KFUM Uppsala led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. KFUM Uppsala forced 22 Solna Branten turnovers. Guard Anes Zekovic (-95) stepped up and scored 30 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and guard Lukas Friberg (183-95) chipped in 10 points and 12 rebounds. The best for the losing side was forward Leo Lightner (187-96) with 14 points and 4 steals and point guard Simon Makkonen (186-94) scored 4 points and 10 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. KFUM Uppsala moved-up to third place in North, which they share with 08. Loser Solna Branten keeps the fifth position with four games lost. KFUM Uppsala will face Jarfalla (#8) at home in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game.
