Regular Season Round 10: KR - Keflavik 58-87

Dominos League top team - Keflavik (9-1) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed eighth ranked KR (1-9) in Reykjavik 87-58. The game was mostly controlled by Keflavik. KR managed to win fourth quarter 20-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to KR's 26. Keflavik forced 25 KR turnovers and outrebounded them 66-36 including a 21-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. American guard Carmen Tyson-Thomas (175-91, college: Syracuse, agency: Two Points) fired a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 15 rebounds for the winners. International guard Marin Laufey Davidsdottir (172-94) chipped in 6 points and 16 rebounds. Four Keflavik players scored in double figures. Guard Bjorg Einarsdottir (162-92) produced 23 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals (made all of her thirteen free throws !!!) and Simone Holmes added 15 points respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Keflavik have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 9-1 record, which they share with Snaefell. KR lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with nine games lost. They share the position with Breidablik. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
