Regular Season Round 10: Kangoeroes - Aalstar 82-71

The most important game in the last round took place in Willebroek between second ranked Okapi Aalstar (7-2) and tenth ranked Kangoeroes (2-7) on Saturday night. Okapi Aalstar was defeated by Kangoeroes on the road 71-82. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. It was a great shooting night for Kangoeroes especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.9 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward D.J. Shelton (208-91, college: Washington St.) who helped to win the game recording 29 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Senne Geukens (190-83) contributed with 22 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. American Taylor Braun (201-91, college: N.Dakota St., agency: Priority Sports) replied with 23 points and his fellow American import forward Tyren Johnson (202-88, college: La-Lafayette) added 6 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Okapi Aalstar. Kangoeroes maintains tenth position with 2-7 record. Okapi Aalstar at the other side keeps the second place with two games lost. They share the position with Limburg United. Kangoeroes are looking forward to face higher ranked Belfius Mons-Hainaut (#7) in Quaregnon in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Okapi Aalstar will play at home against Spirou Charleroi (#5) and is hoping to win this game.
