Regular Season Round 9: Landes - Arras 75-63

An interesting game for Basket Landes (7-2) which hosted in Mont de Marsan second-best Arras (6-3). Third ranked Basket Landes managed to get a 12-point victory 75-63. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Arras. It was a key game for the second position in the league. The game was mostly controlled by Basket Landes. Arras managed to win third quarter 21-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Basket Landes forced 20 Arras turnovers. It was a good game for American forward Danielle Page (188-86, college: Nebraska) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds. Latvian forward Gunta Basko-Melnbarde (181-80, college: Siena, agency: Josep and Nicolas) contributed with 17 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Basket Landes players scored in double figures. Canadian forward Michelle Plouffe (193-92, college: Utah) answered with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds and Mali center Djene Diawara (192-85, agency: Comsport) added 15 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Arras. Basket Landes moved-up to second place. Arras at the other side dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. They share it with Tarbes. Basket Landes are looking forward to face Lyon (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Arras will play against Flammes Carolo (#9) and is hoping to win this game.
