Denso Iris (6-1) recorded its first loss in Kariya on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by fourth ranked Toyota A. (5-2) 59-44. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Denso Iris. The game without a history. Toyota A. led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Denso Iris to just 5 points in first and second quarters and to 10 points in first half. The best player for the winners was international point guard Emi Kudeken (165-84) who scored 16 points and 5 assists. International forward Mika Kurihara (178-89) chipped in 12 points and 5 rebounds. The former international power forward Maki Takada (183-89) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks and the former international forward Yuri Ushida (181-89) added 8 points and 12 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Denso Iris' coach rotated eleven players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Toyota A. maintains fourth position with 5-2 record, which they share with JX-Eneos S. Denso Iris at the other side still keep top place with one game lost. They share the position with Fujitsu RW. Toyota A. is looking forward to face Toyota B SR (#7) in Aichi in the next round. Denso Iris will play at home against JX-Eneos S. (#5) and are hoping to win this game.
