There was a minor upset in Vitoria where higher ranked CB Canarias (4-5) was defeated by thirteenth ranked Laboral Kutxa (4-5) 84-74 on Sunday. The game without a history. Laboral Kutxa led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. It was a great shooting night for Laboral Kutxa especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. The best player for the winners was international swingman Fernando San Emeterio (198-84) who scored 26 points (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). French Fabien Causeur (193-87) chipped in 22 points and 4 steals (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). At the other side the best for losing team was Montenegrin center Blagota Sekulic (209-82, agency: Octagon Europe) who recorded 14 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Rodrigo San Miguel (186-85) added 10 points and 4 assists respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Laboral Kutxa moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Iberostar Tener. and G.Canaria 2014. Laboral Kutxa will face higher ranked Valencia Basket (#6) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
