A very close game took place in Eilat between Hapoel Eilat and Maccabi Haifa. Tenth ranked Hapoel Eilat (3-6) got a very close home victory over 8th ranked Maccabi Haifa (3-6). American-Nigerian Ike Ofoegbu (205-84, college: SMU) came up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds and American swingman Rene Rougeau (198-86, college: UNLV) added 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for Maccabi Haifa in the defeat. Four Maccabi Haifa players scored in double figures. Hapoel Eilat moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Bnei Hertzeliyya and Maccabi Haifa. Maccabi Haifa lost their third game in a row. Hapoel Eilat will meet at home Ironi Nahariya (#11) in the next round. Maccabi Haifa will play against Bnei Hasharon and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
