Very important is a road loss of second ranked Dragonflies (9-5) against fourth ranked Hyogo S. (6-8) on Sunday night. Visiting Dragonflies were defeated by Hyogo S. in a tough game in Hyogo 66-73. Dragonflies were ahead by 12 points after three quarters before a 31-12 charge of Hyogo S., which allowed them to win the game. They outrebounded Dragonflies 38-27 including 27 on the defensive glass. American center Isaac Butts (208-89, college: Appalachian St.) notched a double-double by scoring 21 points, 18 rebounds and 5 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and the other American import swingman William Knight (196-79, college: UCLA) supported him with 21 points and 6 rebounds. Even 18 points and 5 rebounds by American swingman Omar Reed (200-87, college: Bluefield) did not help to save the game for Dragonflies. International power forward Kosuke Takeuchi (206-85) added 12 points and 7 rebounds for the guests. Dragonflies' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Hyogo S. maintains fourth position with 6-8 record. Newly promoted Dragonflies dropped to the third place with five games lost. They share the position with Toshiba BT. Hyogo S. will play against Kumamoto V. (#6) on the road in the next round. Dragonflies will play against the league's leader Aishin Sea Horses in Kariya and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
