Regular Season Round 9: Talje - Boras II 66-94

Date: November 30, 2014
Not a big story in a game when 7th ranked Talje Knights (3-5) were rolled over at home by fourth ranked Boras II (6-2) 94-66 on Sunday. The game without a history. Boras II led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Boras II outrebounded Talje Knights 35-18 including a 24-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. Forward Hajzer Ismaili (202-94) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners and point guard Emil Lundstedt (180-94) chipped in 16 points and 4 assists. Five Boras II players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was forward Erik Johansson (194-96) with 23 points and 4 assists and forward Ludvig Swanstrom (196-96) scored 11 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the third consecutive win for Boras II. They moved-up to second place in South, which they share with Huddinge and IK Eos. Loser Talje Knights keep the seventh position with five games lost. Boras II will face Sanda Basket (#9) in Huskvarna in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Talje Knights will play at home against Brahe Basket and hope to win that game.
